Fighting for Taxpayers, Serving the Community
MEET DONDonald Newberry was born on February 17th, 1967. He is a third generation Tulsan, a deacon and active member of Memorial Baptist Church, and has served his country in the United States Air Force as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Specialist. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration at Tulsa Community College; a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Liberty University; an MBA from Liberty University; and a Masters of Jurisprudence in Indian Law (MJIL) from the University of Tulsa School of Law. He is currently the Title Research Manager in the Tulsa County Assessor’s office, and enjoys his work as a public servant.Don lives in Tulsa with his wife and four children in the Jenks School District. He began his service in local government six years ago, and since that time has been involved in the managing, directing, and budgeting of a department within the Tulsa County Assessor’s office. As a result of his efforts, the department has an improved efficiency and higher productivity rate. Prior to his career in public service, Don spent several years in the mortgage industry. His work as the Vice President of Sales resulted in 48 million dollars in sales for the company; and his development of a “workflow analysis” system made it possible for the company to track and analyze the effect of the company’s marketing strategies and sales. In his spare time, and on the weekends, Don serves as a volunteer in many areas. He has spent countless hours teaching Sunday School in the Youth Department of his church, mentoring teens, working with troubled youth at the Tulsa County Juvenile Justice Center, and helping the elderly in his community. Don’s loyalty and commitment to his family, church, and community is part of what draws people to him. He works diligently to serve those around him, and inspires the same in everyone he meets.
Promote Fiscal Responsibility
Milton Freedman once said that if you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand. At the local level however, Tulsa has the opportunity to elect servants who possess a conservative vision—a vision focused on growth, not burden and on efficiency, not mismanagement. As a life-long Oklahoman and Tulsan, I value the strong work ethic that defines our community and I will fight to ensure that taxes generated by our families are used responsibly. As your Tulsa County Court Clerk I will use my experience to maximize every dollar, regardless of budget cuts or surpluses. My voice as your County Court Clerk will be loud, it will be conservative and most importantly, it will reflect the needs of the community I love and serve.
Promote an Efficient Culture
Tulsa is home to a number of organizations and corporations that employ thousands of our State’s best, while small business also continues to drive our economy. Today, Tulsa produces more small businesses and is more economically diversified than ever before. This growth did not happen by accident but is the result of ingenuity, resilience and foresight—characteristics that must also exist in County Offices. If elected as your next County Court Clerk, I will manage the office as a business and not a government slush fund. I will pursue modernization, improve efficiency, create a better experience for the customer and reduce costs for taxpayers.
Campaigns are costly, and I can’t cross the finish line without your help! Please consider making a contribution today so that I can carry our message of conservative decision making to the County Clerk’s office.
I need your help to reach all the voters in Tulsa County with our message. Even assisting our campaign for an hour or two will make a difference. Please consider volunteering today!Loading…
